KIRKLAND AMERICAN / NATIONAL DISTRICT JUNIOR SOFTBALL TAKE 3RD PLACE AT WORLD SERIES

The 2012 District 9 Champion team from Kirkland National and American Little Leagues was the most successful Host team in Junior Softball World Series history.  The team finished pool play with a 3-0 record, fell to eventual champion West (Alaska) in the semi-finals, then defeated Latin America (Puerto Rico) in the consolation game to finish in 3rd place.  They also played a “friendly” match with the Europe-Middle East-Africa team from the Czech Republic, who otherwise would not have had a final game.  Off the field, the Kirkland girls and their families took their Host duties to heart, providing gifts and staging almost nightly activities to make all the visiting teams feel at home.  These girls represented Washington LL District 9 in superb style and set the standard for future JSWS Host teams.  Congratulations!

Congratulations Girls!!!
